Friday Night Sessions - Featured Artists 6th of Dec 2019

The concept of “Friday Night Sessions” is to showcase original music and artists.
A creative hub where East meets West and South meets North in a melting pot of ideas, inspiration, collaboration, musical and artistic outlet.
A place where artists have a platform from which they can evolve and grow.
A place where artists try out new ideas and concepts.
A place where people meet, talk, laugh, drink, socialize, inspire, collaborate, share ideas and perform.
If you have something on your mind, be it beautiful, ugly, weird, meaningful, funny, sad or thought provoking then take to the stage and share it with us.
On the event nights there will be an Open Mic where you can come and test out your material.
It could be any material really, it does not have to be restricted to music only.

Open Mic will be between 19:30 to 20:30 (max 10 minutes per act, if you would like to come and perform then contact us and pre-book your slot)
Featured bands and artists on the night will go on stage from 20:45. (Each featured act has a 30 minute slot, further information on how to apply

Pedals

"The Pink Penguin" I just had to check out this guitar pedal purely because of its look hahaha and it turned out to be a really nice Analog Chorus/Vibrato (the Emperor) from JHS pedals. It was a very colourful effects pedal board that DAXX performed with on the night :-). Photo by BRIN

King With No Throne
King With No Throne
King With No Throne - performing at Friday Night Sessions on 20th of Sept. 2019
Read more about the artist:
Reto and Kasem began making music in Sydney in October 2000. We were called Flying Mouse then and quickly found the sound that we still possess today. We played with a few folks along the way, but when we left Sydney for London King With No Throne was born with a sound that has elements of drum and bass, and Electro-Trance reminiscent of Massive Attack, Portishead and Radiohead.
King With No Throne originated in the lyrics of the song King With No Throne. Irena, a London filmmaker felt this would be a great name for us. We decided to make it our name as the image of a wondering mystical king who imagines and makes worlds from the fountain of his mind. This parallels closely with the way we feel about the creative journey of being music makers and creating sounds that resonate with something wondrous, mysterious and beautiful about life.

Inspiration - Influences: Pink Floyd, Massive Attack, Portishead, TheXX , Jeff Buckley, Alt-J, Radiohead, Beatles, Madonna, Prodigy, David Bowie, Cold Play, The Killers, The Editors, Anohni, as well as the Nature and the Universe.
