Friday Night Sessions

The concept of “Friday Night Sessions” is to showcase original art and artists. We welcome anything from music to short-film screening, Standup Comedy, Spoken Word, or any other form of original art via our open mic or as a featured artist. We welcome and strive to showcase art from all kinds of different cultural and artistic backgrounds. FNS is a creative hub where East meets West and South meets North in a melting pot of ideas, inspiration, collaboration, and artistic outlet. So If you have something on your mind, be it beautiful, ugly, weird, meaningful, funny, sad or thought-provoking then take to the stage and share it with us.  The idea is to create a hub where people, artists, musicians, film makers meet, perform, socialize, engage and involve the community in original art. FNS is a platform from which the artists can perform, test new material, grow and evolve but also a place where you meet people and other artists from different walks in life and hopefully that will create connections and that in turn will create art.😊 So if you like, music, art, film screening, socialising meeting people then come and be part of the next Friday Night Sessions event. We are looking forward to meeting you all 😊

Morgan King
Morgan King
Morgan King
Grammy Award winning songwriter, musician, record producer and photographer.
Born in Spitalfields, London, King's musical career began in 1979 as drummer for Manchester band Illustration, who were subsequently signed by the indie label, "Some Bizzare" featuring on the Some Bizzare Album. After several years immersed in the UK indie scene, King's musical direction changed considerably with the advent of house music in the late 1980s. In 1988, King moved to Chicago and started writing with Kym Mazelle and Marshall Jefferson on Mazelle's first album, Crazy, which was released the following year. In 1989, King joined his third band, the Manic MCs who had a UK top thirty hit with their first release, "Mental".

Around 1994/1995, King took a break from the music scene, eventually resurfacing in 2003 to co-write Trybe's "Sarah Said" with Fragma. In 2007 he opened his Accidental Music label so he could make his archive available in the digital realm for the first time, and to collaborate on new dance projects. Also around the same time he became a professional photographer after he was invited to do a one off project in Iran. Morgan King
